Pascal Geneviève, General Manager
Co-founder of Carbon Consult Group, Pascal has extensive experience in life cycle analysis, carbon footprint and eco-design. Certified as a GHG Inventory Quantifier, he has held various positions in a major Canadian aerospace company, including as an ecodesign specialist for the past five years. In this role, Pascal led the life cycle assessment of a complete aircraft by managing more than 60 suppliers. Previously, Pascal worked in France for more than six years as an engineer with the largest European aircraft manufacturer. Over the course of his career, he has held numerous positions in areas such as engineering, ground testing, simulation and after-sales support. Pascal holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Urbana Champaign, Illinois, and holds an engineering degree from the École des Mines in France.
Jean Paquin, Executive Vice President
Co-founder of Carbon Consult Group, Jean has over 25 years of experience in carbon management and development of renewable energy projects worldwide. He was previously Senior Director of Business Development and Director of the Hydrogen Generation Department for one of Canada's largest independent power producers. In addition, Jean was Business Development Director for one of the world's leading wind energy consultants. Prior to that, Jean founded a Canadian home construction project in Europe and managed a management company in Spain. He has a wide range of expertise with various organizations in areas such as engineering, management, project finance and the environment. Jean has an eMBA from the John Molson School of Business and a B. Sc. in Civil Engineering from Concordia University.
David Beaudoin, Director - Carbon Markets
Project manager in R&D and process engineer on the development of technologies for carbon capture and industrial waste management, David is an experienced professional in GHG emissions accounting. He has worked on nearly fifty GHG projects, including the Technoclimat program. David has experience in several sectors including mineral processing, waste management, renewable energy and process efficiency. He is a certified environmental professional, EP (GES), recognized by ECO-Canada and the GHG Management Institute, and acts as a GHG assessor for the Standards Council of Canada. He is associated with a number of leading companies in the Canadian carbon market and has made a significant contribution to the development of the industry and the value creation of GHG reduction initiatives. David holds a bachelor's degree in biotechnology engineering and an MBA from Concordia University.
Alexandru Iordan, Sustainable Finance Director
With extensive expertise in environmental business risk management and eco-design, Alexandru has been responsible for, among other things, the integration of complex regulations into business processes and product compliance. Internationally, he has been involved in the development of standards for environmental management in the supply chain. He was also involved in the design of CORSIA, the world's first carbon offsetting system for aviation. At GCC, Alexandru leads the firm's activity in the financial sector and is responsible for developing methodologies for analysing the climate change risks of investment portfolios. He is also involved in various missions aimed at measuring and valuing emission reductions in the industrial manufacturing, green technologies and transportation sectors. Alexandru holds a degree in chemical engineering and a master's degree from the University of Strasbourg in France.
Lukas was a sustainability consultant for international organizations before moving to the private sector where he supported corporations improving their environmental and social performance. He now evaluates environmental performance of companies for investors. He has a B.Sc. and M.Sc.
Jacques is Professor in the Department of legal sciences of the Faculty of political science and law from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM) where he teaches company, finance and business law. He focuses on the legal framework of the cap-and-trade carbon market system in Quebec.
Keelin has a deep passion for the environment and a personal goal of contributing to creating a more sustainable future for the world. As a Risk Analyst focusing on Business Resiliency at a large Canadian Corporation committed to being a North American leader in the generation of clean energy, Keelin works towards that goal everyday.
